Island resident of 35 years, Janet Behrends, 63, died Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 25 at Swedish Hospital. She is survived by her mother, Eileen Behrends, of Rake, Iowa and her siblings Rod, Sarah, Pam, and Anne. She is also survived by her partner of many years and long-time Island resident, DeWayne Hoyt, his daughters, Erika, Kelli, and Kerri, and the grandbabies who loved her, Nicholas, Sophia, Taylor, Sam, Hadley, and Emma.
