Paula Trotter

Paula J. Trotter, 75, an active Vashon resident for 34 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 31st 2010, following a brief illness.

Paula was born April 25th 1935 in Longview Washington to Orville and Gladys Howard. She grew up in Castle Rock, Washington and graduated from Castle Rock high school in 1953. Soon after she moved to Southern California and returned to the Pacific Northwest settling on Vashon in 1976.

Paula was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn Stacey; her sisters Carolyn Herring and Marcia Bogue, Grandson Aaron Trotter and her beloved husband Tomie Trotter.

Paula is survived by her sons Brad (Trina) Trimmer of Oak Harbor, Tom (Judy) Trotter of Seattle, Larry (Betty) Trotter of Tacoma Chris (Lynn) Trotter of Puyallup and Ron Trotter of Auburn. Fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous family and friends all over the world.

Paula was an active resident of Vashon. She was a member of the Vashon Island Golf and Country Club, The Quartermaster Yacht Club and The Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3144. She enjoyed boating, traveling, golf and flying with her husband Tomie.

Paula enjoyed hosting as well as attending many gatherings with family and friends as well as her travels around the world.

All who knew her will miss her laughter, generosity and friendship.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Vashon Golf and Country Club on November 21st, 2010 at 4pm.
