Loretta ended her suffering with Mesothelioma Cancer quietly in her sleep at her home after several weeks of loving care by her

significant other, Robert Gaines.

She was born April 30, 1936 to Victor O. and Luella Lodahl in Seattle, WA. She lived her youth in Bremerton and West Seattle.

As an adult she lived in Florida, Texas, California and finally returned to Seattle. She worked for many companies as an accounts payable clerk. After retiring she moved to Vashon to help her Mother. She was a member of Vashon Lutheran Church and volunteered at Granny’s Attic. She made many new friends on Vashon. Moving back to West Seattle she became a member of Peace Lutheran where she met the love of her life Robert Gaines.

Loretta was preceded in death by her Father and her brother, Victor Lewis. Also, special family member, John Peck.

She is survived by Robert, her Mother, her sister Karen Hoffmann husband Daniel and family; brother Drew Lodahl wife Laura and family; sister-in-law Kathy Lodahl Hay and family; John Parker wife Fanny and family and Nancy Reynolds. Also, many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great great nieces and nephews which shared a special place in her heart. She leaves many friends that have shared her life and remain close. Her loving and caring nature gathered many new and lasting relationships.

A Memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church 8316 39th Ave SW Seattle, WA 98136 on Saturday, November 9th at 11:30 am. Interment will be at the Vashon Island Cemetery.
