Elene V. (Hebert)

Kellogg, born Dec. 30, 1929,

in Seattle, to Leon and

Elene Hebert, died peacefully

with her family at her

side on March 14, 2009.

She was the oldest of two

children. She grew up in

West Seattle and graduated

from West Seattle High

School at age 16.

Kellogg attended Linfield

College, Evergreen State

College and St. Martin’s

College, where she received

her master’s degree.

She met Don Kellogg at

her parents’ farm on Vashon

Island, and the couple married

on July 31, 1948.

Kellogg had six children

and was preceded in death

by her first-born Pamela

and her third child Randi.

She is survived by her

life partner Roland (Pete)

Peterson, her brother Tom

Hebert, her children Scott

Kellogg, Kristi Ammon,

Rory Kellogg and Maggi

Kellogg, 14 grandchildren

and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was

held March 21, 2009, at

Evergreen Community

Church in Renton.
