Goldie Egness died April 7, 2005, at the age of 81.

She was born in Dockton to Mande and Tony Roncevich. She married Thomas Egness Jan. 18, 1944. They lived in Dockton until Tom’s death in 1987.

Friends and family say Mrs. Egness was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, and everyone will miss her.

Survivors include her children Carrie and husband Lee Babcock of Auburn, Marcia and husband Michael Horswill of Dockton, grandchildren Richard and wife Sheri Babcock, Tom and wife Lori Babcock, and Jessica and husband Mark Plesko.

Her great-grandchildren Chelsey, Garrett, Tristan, Shayleen, Skyler, Caden, Cassie, Zachary and Hailee also survive her. Additional survivors include her brother John Roncevich and wife Dorothy of Auburn, sisters Olga Spaulding of Federal Way, Kathy Reifers Botka of Bellevue and Mary Ann and husband Jim Long of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Services will be at noon Thursday, April 14, at Island Funeral Service.
