Jean Bardsley, a longtime Islander, died in her home on Monday, Dec. 3.
She was born to Nathalee and Homer Bostain on Jan. 26, 1933, in Kirkland, Wash. Her family moved to Vashon in 1936.
Already deceased are Bardsley’s parents, daughter Andriea and brothers Gilbert and Richard. Survivors include Bardsley’s daughters Rita Cannell (Bob), Jodee McVeigh (Denny) and Jennifer Berube, as well as sister Lila Gillian, brother Ken, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bardsley will be remembered by many as the personable bartender at the Spinnaker and Alibi restaurants.
Respecting her wishes, no services will be held. The family will hold a private memorial service.
