Donald H. Holke, 89, of Grandview, WA and

former King County Sheriff passed away on

Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Yakima Regional

Hospital. Donald was born on November 11,

1918 in Seattle, WA the son of William H. and

Astrid (Lidbom) Holke.

Donald enjoyed photography and traveling. He

is survived by his daughter, Penny Wies (Gary)

of Sunnyside, WA. Grandchildren, Doug Raab

of Montana, Toni Schwartsman of Moxee and

Dawn Mayer of Vermont. He is preceded in

death by his parents, wife Lillian Marie Holke

and son, Donald Steven. Smith Funeral Home

and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
