Merle Otis Sauer, a longtime resident of Vashon Island, died June 4, 2005, at his home on Vashon, surrounded by his family. He was 77 years old.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Vashon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Interment will follow at the Vashon Island Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Island Funeral Service.
