Vashon Events will host its fourth annual Valentine’s Day show — a bit early this year — at 8 p.m. Friday at the Red Bike.

Fashioned after the three previous shows, Love Duets IV is all about two people on stage singing a duet with the theme of love. The songs can be covers or originals, one per pair, and musicians can bring whatever instrument the song requires, with  the exception of drum kits or big bands.

The singers can be any combination of two — family members, partners or best buddies, as long as they sing together.

Like past shows, the evening’s proceeds will support Vashon Events, the island’s community arts, culture and charity events website.

Vashon Events co-founders, Pete Welch and Allison Shirk, said the show will be fun.

“We think it’s going to be yet another one of those magical nights of music,” the duo said.

Some of the duets who have signed up so far include: Shirk and Matt Wilson, Marita Ericksen and Lauri Hennessey, Camille and Gus Reeves, Rusty Willoughby and Jennifer Sutherland, Maya Battisti and Maijah Sanson-Frey, Scott Durkee and Andrea Walker, JD and Kristy Hobson, Trina Willard and Charlie Asmus, Pearce Cobarr and Tami Brockway Joyce and Rick Doussett & Roxanne Lyons.

The event is open to all ages until 11 p.m. then only 21-years and older. There is an $8 suggested donation for the evening.
