The body of an Asian woman who appeared to be in her 40s was pulled from the water off Manzanita Beach Road Friday afternoon and detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify her, King County Sheriff’s officials said.

The woman is described as Asian or white, in her 40s, 5 feet 1 inch tall, 120 pounds with no tattoos. Authorities said she dyes her hair brown and has grey roots and is missing the two teeth to the side of the upper front teeth.

She is wearing a black 89th and Madison brand sweater in a size small; a white and pink striped Jacob brand dress in a size 9/10; a quilted, black Lamour brand jacket in a size medium, one gray glove, a Carriage brand gold face watch with brown leather band on the right wrist and a red hair band on her right wrist.

Anyone with information about the woman is urged to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 296-3311.

The woman was discovered by islander Mark Ripley who was out rowing Friday afternoon and saw the body about 200 yards off shore at about 1:30 p.m. He had been watching for potential hazards, he said, and saw what he thought was a black jacket. He rowed closer and determined it was a body. He said he then rowed to the shore of Manzanita Beach and alerted people there, who called 911.&nbsp;

Vashon Island Fire & Rescue responded to the call and determined the woman was dead.

The deputy at the scene said it appeared the woman had been dead for six to 12 hours.

As of Tuesday morning, she had not been identified.
