The mainstream media is overly focused on whether Russia was behind the leaks of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) emails, instead of the big issue of what the DNC was doing all these months during our so-called “democratic” process to choose a candidate.
The media needs to report what was in the emails; report on what they said about the candidates and about ethnic, religious and other groups; and perform its civic duty of a free press by investigating possible links between the DNC and Clinton campaign staff or spokespersons. This was a massive plot to undermine the Bernie Sanders campaign for president of the United States. The media needs to step up and do its job.
Will someone within the DNC come forward, with immunity, and tell the whole truth as John Dean did about President Nixon? The press needs to search hard for this person(s). What did the Clinton campaign know? When did they know it? How were they involved?
Whether or not the actions were criminal, it’s difficult to imagine that the Clinton campaign staff, and maybe even Clinton herself, did not have knowledge of the attempts to undermine Sanders. They had thousands of conversations with DNC leadership.
I do not blame Sanders supporters for not backing Clinton until this matter is fully exposed and a full apology by Clinton herself, if called for, is made. Until then, Sanders supporters do not have to “be with her.”
