Architecture firm responsible for high school was best choice

I just wanted to write a quick note regarding Integrus Architecture. Ms. Kallsen's Feb. 24 letter could not be more misinformed ("Architecture firm should not be trusted with gym," Feb. 24). Integrus was absolutely the best choice of firms to serve our community and would continue to be if they were selected again in the future.

As someone who was involved in the process from the community, the issues brought up by Ms. Kallsen, including the functionality of the library, were thoroughly discussed and vetted, with input from district leadership, school leadership, staff, students, the community, as well as other design professionals like myself. I can assure everyone in our community that it is somewhat absurd to make the statement that Integrus “imposed their prejudices,” on this design when, in fact, they did exactly the opposite, bending over backwards to make very well informed decisions.
